Meeting New People

I love the discussions that homeschooling brings about. Tonight it was making a comment about being thankful for not needing nicer "school clothes" for my kids and they could instead wear out holes in the knees. The Mom next to me in line waiting to get into the consignment sale asked if I was homeschooling. She got very excited and said she'd been homeschooled herself all through school, as had her husband. We had a great 20 minute conversation about types of schooling, resources in the area, and reasons why we homeschool. It was a great chat, and wonderful to talk with someone who's been on the other side of homeschooling.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm a magnet for other homeschooling families. I rarely go out without meeting someone who asks if I'm teaching my kids at home. Do I have a sign over my head? It can be a lot of fun though!

New to this

Well I've joined the blogsphere. I've been meaning to start one for ages, but haven't had the time. I've wanted to have a place to talk about our homeschooling adventures, along with a bit of my professional stuff (lactation consultant). So I'm sure I'll have a fair amount to talk about!

So there are the 2 adults - me, the SAHM and part time working CLC and my other half the Technowiz who telecommutes 100%.
Then the 4 munchkins - my oldest, Tasha, who is 8; Nikoli who is 6; Mikhail who is 3, and Ana who is 1.
We live, work, play and school together. These are our adventures.
