I've been getting better at planning out our week by Sunday night. I've even started getting together all of the printables and supplies and putting them together Sunday night. It certainly helps me get better at getting though all of our lessons on any given day, especially science and history.
Status-wise we are doing well for the year. We are up to the Tang Dynasty in China and are doing some more Eastern World stuff for the next few weeks. The kids are loving their Ancient China and Geography classes with their friends. Tomorrow they are studying Africa and both want to write mini reports on an animal to share during class.
Math is going quite well, we conquered telling time and are moving on to money :) Nikoli is still ahead of Tasha, but that's ok.
Tasha is almost done with her first year of grammar - she loves it! Spelling is going great too, more correctly spelled words when she writes.
Nikoli is doing very well with his reading lessons, he can actually read stories now, when he wants to anyway.
They are all (even the little ones) enjoying science experiments/crafts. We took a field trip to Fernbank and had fun making earthquakes and volcanoes in the nature exhibit.
They have both been practicing typing on and off. It's getting better. Spanish is the same right now, some days we do a lot and others not at all with languages.
The tv was unplugged by the boys so it's been out of commission since Sunday morning. Tasha has been chugging her way through Harry Potter 6 instead of watching tv :) The boys have been spending lots of time outside in the back yard. Ana happily toddles after them.
A new swim school opened up just up the street, so I'm going to enroll the older ones in it. If they are going to keep being fearless, I want them to be able to swim really, really well.
We are looking forward to a busy busy summer!
